    Beginning his story in the charming city of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, Daniel Walter Hill's path is a remarkable tale of steadfast perseverance, dedicated ambition, and a touch of providential fate. Originating from the Canadian landscape, he eventually made his home in St. Augustine, Florida, a life-altering decision stemming from a car accident that profoundly changed his perspective, ultimately guiding him to settle in the United Kingdom.

     

    His entrepreneurial journey spans a broad spectrum of industries, encompassing real estate, the construction of homes, development of golf courses, along with ventures in the oil and gas sector, cable television, plastic manufacturing, utility services, and the waste management field. His role has been integral in the consultation, establishment, and operational leadership of various enterprises across these diverse sectors, marked by his adeptness in solving complex issues, mobilizing capital, and strategic governance.

     

    In his array of business engagements, he was a principal founding advisor and shareholder in Allied Waste Industries, a leading figure in the waste management industry, which would eventually merge with and adopt the name of Republic Services. His career outset was in real estate development, where he oversaw the end-to-end development of large-scale mixed-use property ventures in Texas, California, and Arizona, from initial acquisition and design to planning and financial structuring.

     

    His academic path is as varied as his career trajectory. He began with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Georgetown University, followed by a Law degree at the University of Saskatchewan, culminating in his bar admission in British Columbia. His educational pursuits further led him to the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard University's School of Business Administration. Additionally, he expanded his financial knowledge by attending Oxford Templeton College in the UK, where he specialized in Executive Finance.
